Blood Drive

In November 1950, the University of Idaho became the first university in the country to host a blood drive.  This was soon followed by a challenge to other universities across the country; the UI earned national attention for its competition with Harvard University.

Today, the University continues to host blood drives through the American Red Cross.  The Volunteer Center sponsors two days of donations each month during the academic year.

For blood drives through the American Red Cross, you may make an appointment through the American Red Cross Web site.  Our sponsor code is uidaho.
